Wyatt Insurance Welcomes Paul Fortenberry
as a Commercial Risk Adviser
Wyatt Insurance is excited to welcome Paul Fortenberry as a Commercial Risk Adviser in their Knoxville office. In this role, Paul will work with business owners to tailor their risk management and insurance plans to meet their companies’ unique needs.
Paul most recently worked for Clayton as Director of Marketing for the Clayton Home Building Group. Under Paul’s leadership, his team was able to create many dynamic and successful marketing campaigns. Before joining Clayton, Paul covered University of Tennessee athletics for Volquest.com, part of the Rivals.com network, and built a following as a voice in the East Tennessee sports world.
As a Maryville native, Paul is proud of the growth that Maryville, and the rest of Blount County, have experienced in the last decade. Business owners and Blount County locals have invested in their city and made it a destination for new businesses, residents, and tourists. Paul is excited that the rest of Tennessee, and even the rest of the Southeast, are seeing what a great place Blount County is to live in, conduct business in, and visit. As an agency, Wyatt Insurance has excellent existing Blount County partners, and the team is excited for Paul to expand their partnerships within this outstanding community and beyond.
“As an agency, when serving our partners, being honest, consultative, and servant-minded are some of our core values,” says President Ashley Wyatt. “When I first met Paul, his character and personality impressed me after only a short time. I am confident he will embody our core values as he builds trust and relationships with business owners in this next chapter of his career.”
“In my career, I’ve been blessed to have careers at both a small business and a large, national company,” says Fortenberry. “These experiences taught me that ease of doing business and relationship building are both essential to growing a successful company. My goal is to make insurance easy for our clients while building trust for long-term partnerships. I’m excited to be on the Wyatt team and have great respect for their energy and passion to help local businesses grow and succeed.”
“We are so excited to have Paul Fortenberry – who I like to call the unofficial “Mayor of Maryville” – join Wyatt Insurance,” jokes Andy Huddleston, Partner and Commercial Risk Adviser. “I have known Paul for more than 15 years and have always admired his work ethic and ability to build strong relationships with people in all walks of life. We are excited to watch him grow his book of business and for our existing partners to interact with him.”
Paul and his wife Caroline reside in Maryville with their 4 children, Markel (Senior in high school – 18), Kiyana (16), Owen (3), and Levi (1) currently reside in Maryville. His family attends Foothills Church. In his free time, Paul enjoys following Tennessee athletics, juggling 4 kids’ schedules, and this fall he will enjoy traveling to watch his son play football for Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
